ARTICLE 7-  VOTING RIGHTS

Section 1-  All members of the SNDA have one vote apiece at the general membership meetings.

Section 2- The President shall not vote on any issue unless to make or break a tie. 

Section 3- The Vice President. Treasurer, Secretary, Executive Advisor and ADO Rep have one vote each at all meetings.

Section 4- The Division Reps have one vote each at all meetings.

Section 5- The method of voting will be by show of hands, roll call or secret ballot (at the discretion of the President).

Section 6- Anyone not present at meetings gives up their voting rights unless they give written notice that another member may vote for them.

Section 7- An Honorary or Associate member cannot vote.


ARTICLE 8- ELECTIONS

Section 1- All Executive Board offices will carry a term of two years beginning calendar year 1994. The terms will be staggered with the President, Secretary, A/B-Representative and Chicago Representative being elected in even numbered years. The election for Vice-President, Treasurer  and ADO Representative will be held in odd numbered years. Rev 1998

Section 2- All candidates for office must be SNDA members in good standing.

Section 3- All nominations shall be verified for acceptance with candidate prior to election with the Secretary.

Section 4-  Nominations shall be announced by the Secretary with voting to take place immediately following these announcements, at the first general membership meeting.

Section 5- The election will be conducted by the presiding President and verified by the presiding Secretary.

Section 6- Vote will be simple majority conducted by secret ballot as determined by the President. In the case that no candidate receives more than 33% of the vote a run—off will be held between the top two candidates.

Section 7- There is no limit to the consecutive terms a member can hold a particular office except for the President, which is a maximum of two consecutive terms.

Section 8- Any Board Member who had resigned or who had been removed from office in the previous year is ineligible n the following year.

ARTICLE 9- FINANCIAL RULES

Section 1- The Board shall have the sole authority to enter into binding contracts and agreements in the name of the SNDA.

Section 2- Al! agreements/contracts must have been reviewed and approved by simple majority vote of the Board prior to entering into said agreements.

Section 3- Any legitimate expenses incurred by Board members or members under Board direction may be reimbursed by the SNDA subject to approval of the Board by simple majority vote.

Section 4- All business expenses for club activities are to be paid for from the collection of dues.

Section 5- All checks written by the SNDA will require the signature of at least two authorized Board members.

Section 6- All transactions to or from SNDA should be by check to maintain records and defeat impropriety with the exception of petty cash.

Section 7- Unused funds from the current years budget will be placed in reserve to be disbursed as needed for activities not called out in the budget or will remain in the club’s account and be turned over to the incoming Board.

ARTICLE 10-   DISCIPLINARY ACTIONS

Section 1- The SNDA reserves the right to censure and discipline any member who willfully creates disharmony, behaves in a belligerent, profane or unsportsmanlike manner or in any way defames or tarnishes the ADO, the SNDA or the sport of darts. However, the remedy of such infractions is not the sole responsibility of the SNDA.

Section 2- Any problems in a public or private home, club or business are the responsibility and the province of the injured party who may seek redress under local laws against the individual/individuals involved.

Section 3- Any problems in any events under the sponsorship of the ADO or any Dart Organization shall fall under the jurisdiction and subject to the rules of that organization, but does not exclude additional disciplinary action by the SNDA.

Section 4- Any member may prepare a list of charges against any other member within 10 days of alleged infractions and submit this list to the SNDA Secretary who will then submit said list to the Board requesting discussion and vote for appropriate action. The Secretary will send copies of said list to all Board members and the accused with a scheduled meeting no later than 10 days after postmark.

Section 5- A vote on any action to be taken requires 2/3  majority vote of the Board members present.

Section 6- The Board shall suspend, determine the amount and place fine, put on probation or revoke membership of the individual under question and said individual will be notified by the President.

Section 7- An individual who is under disciplinary action has the right to one appeal. A petition for appeal requires the signature of at least two Board members and must be submitted within 10 days of issuance of disciplinary action or the individual relinquishes the right of appeal.

Section 8- The decision of the Board is final after the appeal procedure.

Section 9- If the fine is not paid to the Treasurer within 30 days of written notification the individual is suspended from participating in any fashion in any ADO or SNDA event or meeting.

Section 10- All disciplinary action taken by the SNDA is a matter of public record and will be conveyed to the entire membership by either a notice in the club newsletter or by mailing.
